From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, ex Martí Hervera/Soler y Llach 1066, 3 May 2011, 173 (with collector's ticket).

This type commemorates Augustus' diplomatic success in securing the restoration of the legionary eagles that had been lost by Crassus and Antony in the disastrous campaigns against the Parthians in 53 and 36 BC. It is worth noting that the obverse die of our coin was also used to strike aurei (see for example Numismatica Ars Classica 49, 21 October 2008, 118).
